Folios 258-259: John Chilcott, Regulating Captain, Cork. Encloses a certificate found in the possession of Thomas Goldsbury, which was given to him by John Williams for the purpose of screening him from serving in the Royal Navy. As a result he has detained John Williams.
Folio 260: enclosure with folios 258-259. Certificate for John Williams, Landsman on HMS Salvadore del Mundo from 18 September 1808 to 16 December 1808. Confirms that Captain Horton received two substitutes in his place and discharged him on 16 December 1808 as directed by the Admiralty.
