Folios 198-199: William Charlton, Regulating Officer, North Shields. Reports on the case of Robert Murrell who was impressed on 30 July 1809 from on board the Pitt of Blakeney. The enclosed Indenture was not shown at the time of the impressment although he didi state he was apprenticed to J.J.Temple. The Master refused to swear an affidavit that Murrell had not been to sea before. He believes the enclosed Indenture belongs to another man and that Murrell has been to sea before.
Folios 200-201: enclosure with folios 198-199. Letter dated 25 September 1809 by J.W. Temple, Blakeney, Norfolk. States that his apprentice Robert Murrell was impressed from his vessel Pitt and is now at the Nore on HMS Glatten. States that he is apprenticed to him and never served at sea prior to his indenture. Requests his discharge.
