Folios 243-244: Commander George Adey Creyke, HMS Eclipse, Spithead. Reports that his expenses for entertaining the Portuguese refugees amounted to £15. Encloses a letter from the officers of the Gunroom with details of their expenses.
Folio 245: enclosed with folios 243-244. Letter dated 2 February 1809 from Lieutenants Dickins and John Potts, Master John Beale, Surgeon [John ?] Acton and Purser W B Brewer, HMS Eclipse, Spithead, to Commander George Creyke. They estimate their expenses for entertaining the Portuguese while off Lisbon at £55.
Folio 245A: enclosed with folios 243-244. Admiralty note dated 25 January 1809 that HMS Eclipse be ordered to take Lord Claud Hamilton's party aboard and carry them to Rear Admiral Sir Sidney Smith's flagship as well as orders for the Admiral. Duplicates of those orders to go via HMS Hercule.
