Folios 454-455: Nathaniel Day Cochrane, HMS Alexandria, North Yarmouth Roads. He is sending a letter from Richard Clark, Purser, stating that his health renders him unfit and only able for ordinary service. He asks for a replacement Purser.
Folio 456: enclosure with folios 454-455. Letter dated 26 May 1809 from Richard Clark, Purser, Yarmouth Hospital. His health renders him unfit for service at sea. The Physicians and Surgeons advise him it will be many months before his health is restored. He asks to be appointed to ship currently being built.
