Description

Folios 614-615: William Cumberland, HMS Stately, Spithead. Covering letter for the enclosed from Thomas Young, Purser, on HMS Stately.

Folios 616-617: enclosure with folios 614-615. Letter dated 31 July 1808 by Thomas Young, Purser, HMS Stately, Spithead, to William Cumberland, HMS Stately, Spithead. Understanding that HMS Decade is now in Plymouth Sound and that Mr Terry, Purser, of that ship, is appointed to HMS Stately. Request orders be given for Mr Terry to join so a handover can be completed whilst HMS Stately is in dock.
