Folios 607-608: William Cumberland, HMS Stately, Yarmouth Roads. Covering letter for the enclosed and hope you will order the appointment of Thomas Cooke [as Boatswain].
Folios 609-610: enclosure with folios 607-608. Letter dated 18 May 1808 by Thomas Cooke, HMS Centurion, Portsmouth Harbour, to Captain William Cumberland, HMS Stately, Yarmouth. Has been appointed to HMS Stately as Boatswain. HMS Centurion is now in dock and has asked Captain Webb to get him superceded and he said that I should write to you.
