Folios 284-285: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Concerning a letter from Jane Hughes requesting the discharge of her husband Richard Hughes on finding two substitutes. States that he was impressed by the boats of this ship on 10 April 1808 and was discharged into HMS Eliza Tender on 5 May 1808 for the disposal of the Commander in Chief at Plymouth. He was 20 years of age, stout and rated Ordinary.
Folios 286-287: enclosure with folios 284-285. Letter dated 12 May 1808 by Jane Hughes, 44 New Stroud Street, to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of her husband Richard Hughes.
