Folios 309-310: William Charleton, Regulating Officer, North Shields. John Paul, described, was impressed by Lieutenant Dathan from the Supply of Wells, Master Samuel Woods as he had no papers to say he was Mate. He admitted that the affadavit was not sworn before a Magistrate and he says he altered it in ignorance.
Folios 311-312: enclosure with folios 309-310. Affidavits from Samuel Woods Master of the Supply of Wells is Mate of this ship. Edward Drybarough, Wells. John Paul is Mate of the Supply of Wells and should not be impressed.
Folio 313: Enclosure with folios 311-312: Printed affidavit dated 5 April 1808 sworn by Samuel Woods before William Franklin of Wells that John Paul, described is Mate on the Supply and is not a deserter.
