Folios 296-297:William Charleton, Regulating Officer, North Shields. William Swan, described, was impressed by Lieutenant Francis from the Sally London, Master Thomas Scorer as punishment for abusing Lieutenant Francis. He said he was drunk which is confirmed by reports from his neighbours in Newcastle of constant rioting and quarrelling.
Folios 298-299: enclosure with folios 296-297: John Jarvis, Public Notary, 32 Great Tower Hill. William Swan was impressed from the Sally even though he has a certificate to prove he is Chief Mate. He had been discharged in 1805 from HMS Hecate so he has been wrongly impressed.
