Folios 287-288: William Charleton, Regulating Officer, North Shields. George Wilton, described, was impressed from the Tuscan, James Lawson Master as there was an Owner Errington Charlton who was master of her in 1806 on board when she was in Rio Plata.
Folios 289-290: enclosure with folios 287-288. Letter dated 16 March 1808 by Robert Ramshaw, North Shields. Is sending an affidavit from Errigton Charlton, Master of the Tuscan, who was on board along with Mr Lawson.
Folio 291: enclosure with folios 289-290. Printed certificate dated 25 February 1808 sworn at Whitby that James Lawson is the Owner of the Tuscan and George Wilton is the Mate and has permission to be ashore.
Folios 292-293: enclosure with folios 287-288. James Lawson, Master of the Tuscan, Owner Errington Charlton. The ship had to go to Whitby for repairs and George Wilton is the Mate who sailed with the repaired ship to Newcastle where he was impressed. Copy of this sworn on 16 March 1808 by Errington Charlton.
