Folios 216-217: William Charleton, Regulating Officer, South Shields. William Thompson a stout and healthy man, was impressed by Lieutenant Mitchell because he had no protection and because the enclosed indentures have no date and an erasure.
Folios 218-219: enclosure with folios 216-217. Petition from Robert Lithgow, Master of the brigantine Concert Dundee. States that William Thompson is a Mariner and has got protection and William Baxter, Clerk of the Indentures should be written to.
Folio 220: enclosure with folios 218-219. Oath dated 19 December 1807 by Robert Lithgow, Durham.William Thompson was made an apprentice in 1805 and never served at sea.
Folios 221-222: enclosure with folios 218-219. William Baxter and David Brown Magistrates. William Baxter, William Archer, clerk, witness the indenture between Robert Lithgow and William Thompson witnessed also by William Thompson father and James Scott, Insurance Broker, Dundee.
