Folios 209-210: William Charleton, Regulating Officer, South Shields. Edward Young, a stout and healthy 26 year old, was impressed after a fight with Lieutenant Mitchell, was employed as a Shipwright at Forsythe yard and had no protection. The enclosed statement was found to be a fraud.
Folios 211-212: enclosure with folios 209-210. Letter dated 13 January 1808 by Michael Taylor, Ledston Hall, Ferrybridge. This is a respectable family and the man was never at sea.
Folios 213-214: enclosure with folios 209-210. Letter dated 12 January 1808 by John Allison, Durham: His daughter informs him that her husband Edward Young, Carpenter, has been impressed.
Folio 215: enclosure with folios 209-210. Phillip Richardson. Affadavit that Edward Young was bound as an Apprentice to Mr Mawman, Boatbuilder, North Shields and then served Simon Temple, South Shields at the Forsythe yard and he has never served at sea.
