Folios 177-178: James Caulfield, HMS Thunder, Nore. Following Sir James Sammarz orders he left Cartierona with HMS Falcon and 130 convoy ships and HMS Africa which came as far as Drago. Off Morn island the Galliol drifted and sunk but the crew was saved. The fleet was obliged to anchor in the Malmo Channel because of the wind. Several of the convoy were helped off the shore by boats from HMS Thunder and Falcon, but a Russian vessel and two Swedish boats that could not be got off were burnt by their crews. He describes the voyage home via Gottenberg where he saw HMS Victory. He had difficulty keeping the convoy together as many ships rushed ahead.
