Folios 259-260: Robert Bell Campbell, HMS Tremendous, Spithead. Confirms arrived at Spithead having left Gibraltar on 22 August where Garrison were in perfect health. Encloses copy of Orders from Admiral Lord Exmouth.
Folios 261-262: enclosure with folios 259-260. Orders of Lord Exmouth, Commander of Ships and Vessels in the Mediterranean. To proceed to Algiers with despatches for His Highness the Dey and the British Consul. Wait 48 hours to receive any communications but not go on shore so will not be subject to quarantine. Proceed to Gibraltar and wait a week returning to Spithead with any trade vessels which wish to avail themselves of being in a convoy.
