Folios 257-258: Robert Bell Campbell, HMS Tremendous, Marseilles Roads. On arrival at Genoa on 15 July with 5 companies of 7th Battalion [?] Legion received request from His Excellency Lieutenant General [?] Nugent KCB that he and his staff be taken to Marseilles. Consented as he showed correspondence from Imperial Head Quarters. He and his staff of eight embarked on 21 July. In Nice received information that British troops had left Marseilles and were marching towards Toulon. He disembarked on 26 July at Nice as part of his army had just arrived from Naples under the convoy of HMS Montague. Left Nice with 375 of the Italian Legion to Marseilles. Requests payment to cover cost of their entertainment.

As allowances had been made to Rear Admiral Freemantle and others for entertainment of Austrian officers in the Adriatic in which he had been employed carrying Austrian Officers three times from Trieste to Genoa, as well as 7th Battalion [?] Legion from Palmero to Genoa, and 2nd Regiment Italian Legion from Genoa to Marseilles, the field officers of which regiment and troops always ate at his Table, requests to be remunerated in same manner.
