Folios 228-229: Robert Little Coulson, HM Sloop Stork, Leith Roads. Encloses copy of letter from Mr Downie, Pilot of HM Sloop Stork and a chart (not with letter) relating to the White Sea. Letter talks about with the dangers on that coast and the weather when in the area on 6 September 1814.
Folios 230-231: enclosure with folios 228-229. Letter dated 5 August 1815 by Alexander Downie, HM Sloop Stork, Leith. Mentions his experience as a pilot on other vessels and concern as to the accuracy of the charts relating North Cape and White Sea. Letter sets out his concerns and he provides new chart (not with letter).
