Folios 214-215: John Clavell, HMS Orlando, Deptford. Letter refers to John Fisher, Boatswain's Mate, who has been under his command for more than four years and more than 20 years in service. On passage from Bermuda in May 1815, during strong breeze and heavy sea, whilst hoisting up water from Main Hold, received severe contusion of right leg and knee which has left him disabled.
Folio 215A: Enclosure with Folios 214-215. R B Sanderson, Surgeon, HMS Orlando, Deptford dated 16 August 1815. Certifies that John Fisher received severe contusion of his right knee on 10 May 1815 and now has very little use of it.
