Rear Admiral Penrose, late Commander in Chief in the Mediterranean directed that Sam Edison, Lieutenant, Thomas Hassett, Master's Mate and J L Gordon, [? all their names and Gordon's initials and rank] should be treated as Supernumeraries. As they have made some Captures requests to know"what class" they are in with regard to the share of the captures.
