Folios 174-175: James Creighton, Spithead. Replying to Admiralty letter of 5 August requesting to know expenses he incurred for conveying the Duke and Duchess de Castries and other people from England to France. Requests that expenses incurred entertaining dignitaries such as Prince Montmorency, Prince Solre and other noblemen and gentlemen who arrived from Paris to Dieppe to await the arrival of the Duchess of Angouleme. Estimates that £80 would barely cover the expenses.
