Description

Folios 263-264: John Townshend Coffin, HMS Shearwater, the Nore. Encloses a copy of the acting Order as Gunner on HMS Shearwater for George Heath. States the original has been sent to Messrs Barnett & King, Navy Agents, Essex Street, Strand.

Folio 265: enclosure with folios 263-264. Copy of orders from Vice Admiral Sir Edward Pellew, 31 March 1813, HMS Caledonia, Port Mahon to George Heath, Quartermaster, HMS Caledonia. Orders George Heath, Quartermaster, HMS Caledonia to act as Gunner, HMS Shearwater to replace James White, Gunner who is being removed to HMS Hyacinth.
