Folios 249-250: Adam Drummond, HMS Leviathan, off the Lizard. Advises that following the death of Captain Lord William Stuart, HMS Conquistador, he appointed Charles Giddy, Lieutenant, HMS Conquistador to act as Captain until further orders from the Admiralty. States that the late Lord William Stuart expressed a deep interest in the officers who had served him for many years and that he hopes the Admiralty will consider the appointment of Lieutenant Giddy, in no way to prejudice Lieutenant [Robert?]Andoe an older and senior officer on HMS Leviathan. Reports that he has also appointed John Findlay, Master's Mate, HMS Leviathan to act as Lieutenant of HMS Conquistador.
