Folios 191-192: James Creighton, HMS Aeolus, Spithead. Replies to an Admiralty letter of 18 August 1814, directing him to state by what sentences the prisoners brought to England on HMS Aeolus are to be transported. States that he is now under weigh for Portsmouth for Woolwich but was given, in Quebec, 3 packages which he presumed contained dispatches relating to the prisoners, one of which was addressed to the Adjutant General at Horse Guards and the others to the Officer commanding the depot on the Isle of Wight, which were forwarded on arrival at Spithead while the prisoners sent to the Main Guard at Portsmouth.
