Folios 215-216: John Carter, HMS Thracian. Sending a copy of his letter of 1 January, to the Navy Board, asking for the allotments against two men, James Jones, and John Wright, to be stopped payment. The board was unable to comply but he is sending it this time to their Lordships, as he believes the men's account is true and there is now aboard the ship a man who corroborates the story about Wright's wife.
Folios 217-218: enclosure with folios 215-216. Carter's letter, which actually lists three men, Jones, Wright and James Williams, the first and last had allotted payments to their mothers, which are no longer needed, and Wright had allotted money to his wife, but has heard nothing from her for a year and suspects her conduct has not been 'correct'.
