Folios 255-256: William Croft, Regulating Officer, Hull. George Herst was invalided to the Raisonable Guardship, Sheerness but then deserted. He asks whether straggling money should be paid to the Corporal who returned him.
Folio 257: enclosure with folios 255-256. Letter dated 25 March 1813 by the Admiralty to Reverend Grantham. George Herst was returned from a House of Correction Thirton to the Navy on the understanding that reward and conduct money would be sent.
