Description

Folios 234-235: William Croft, Hull Rendezvous. Regarding the insufficient payment to the keepers of houses of correction for the transportation of deserters back to a rendezvous; also enclosing a letter from Mr Strawbenzee in Wakefield regarding his costs.

Folios 236-237: enclosure with folios 234-235. Letter dated 16 August 1812 by C Strawbenzee in Wakefield to Croft. Regarding the costs of returning two deserters, including a John Burn who is unable to walk and complaining that he is now much out of pocket.
