Folios 587-588: Benjamin Carter, Regulating Captain, Cork. Reply to letter dated 11 May 1812. States that Thomas Harney aged 22 was impressed by Lieutenant Edward Townsend from on board the Brig Lord Nelson on 28 April 1812 as he did not have a Certificate of Bond as Mate and his Father acting in that capacity on board.
Folios 589-590: enclosure with folios 587-588. Letter dated 5 May 1812 by Patrick Cangley, Cork, to the Admiralty. Request for the discharge of Thomas Harney.
Folio 591: enclosure with folios 587-588. Certificate sworn in County of Waterford before Morgan Kennedy by Patrick Cangley, Master of the Brig Lord Nelson that Thomas Harney was Chief Mate. Dated 18 April 1812.
Folio 592: enclosure with folios 587-588. Patrick Cangley Certificate sworn by Patrick Cangley before Robert [?] Johnson [?] May 1812 in Cork. That Thomas Harney was impressed on 28 April 1812.
