Covering letter for the enclosed [not included] Details of the State and Condition [Report] of the Heligoland Squadron also Captain [William Buckley] Hunts letter stating the case of the two men, George Sadler and James Gardner of HMS Britomat in answer to your letter of March 1812.
Folios 574-575: enclosures with folios 572-573. Letter dated 24 April 1812 by William Buckley Hunt, HMS Britomat, Heligoland, to Captain Timothy Clinch, HMS Osprey, Senior Officer Heligoland. States that George Sadler - Ordinary Seaman and James Gardner - Able Seaman, were impressed by Lieutenant Benjamin Moorhouse of HMS Britomat on 24 May 1811 at sea out of the American Ship Columbus, have not received the King's Bounty, nor are they married in the United Kingdom and that their protections enclosed in a letter to the Admiralty on 5 July 1811 are their cases again stated to Admiral Murray on the 1 April 1812.
