Folios 566-567: John Surman Carden, HMS Macedonia, Plymouth. Covering letter for the enclosed copy of an order he received from Admiral Berkeley, Commander in Chief at Lisbon and request the usual remuneration of expenses on this occasion.
Folios 568-569: enclosures with folios 566-567. Letter dated 20 April 1812 by G Berkeley, HMS Barfleur, in the Tagus, to Captain Carden, HMS Macedonia. Earl Wellington having requested that Major General The Honourable Charles Stewart may be accommodated with his Aid de Camps and Servants with Passage to England. It is my direction the said General with his Aid de Camp, Servants and Baggage be given passage in your vessel with Victualling them as your Company.
