Folios 613-614: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Replies to letter, 4 December enclosing Jane Scott’s application for the discharge of her son James Scott, a boy aged twelve. Reports the facts have been established and the boy discharged. He is returning her letter.
Folios 615-616: enclosed in folios 613-614. Letter dated 1 December 1807 by Jane Scott, Widow, Manchester. Petitioning for the discharge of her son James Scott aged twelve, pressed at Liverpool and onboard HMS Princess frigate. She has two sons in the 39 Regiment of Foot. Says James was of great benefit to her in assisting to procure an honest livelihood.
