Folios 608-609: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Reports h’e hass discharged James Sedwick as ordered in their letter 4 November if his case found to be as stated in Sir Robert Peel’s letter.
Folios 610-610A: enclosed in folios 608-609. Letter dated 2 November 1807 by Sir Robert Peel, Manchester. States James Sedwick is a delicate boy, ten years of age as by his christening certificate enclosed. Now onboard the Tender at Liverpool, contrary to the inclination of his parents who’ve not been able to obtain his discharge without an Order. Presumes it is contrary to the Rules of the Service to obtain boys of so tender an age.
Folio 610B: enclosed in folios 610-610A. Letter dated 30 March 1807 by William Shaw, Parish Clerk, copy of Christening Certificate; 24 September 1797, James son of John and Elizabeth Sedwick. The register, Colligate Church of Christ, Manchester [Manchester Cathedral].
