Folios 606-607: enclosed in folios 604-605. Letter dated 24 October 1807 by Roger Slater, Liverpool, to the Admiralty Office. Writes about his wife’s relation, Robert Kendall, about sixteen years old who ran away from his Master, a Liverpool Joiner and Cabinet Maker because he was being ill-used. He’s onboard HMS Princess and regrets very much the steps he took. Captain Colquitt cannot discharge him without hearing from their Lordships. Say the boy entered unbeknown to his parents who though poor will do everything to procure a substitute.
