Folios 592-593A: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Lieutenant Clarributt, HMS Bolina will not give him a proper receipt for the decayed and worn stores on board and is ready to sail for Plymouth. Recalling Orders of 14 July 1804 requested by Captain Mends to give an order for Warrant officers to give receipts for stores put on the tenders for Plymouth. Lieutenant Carributt declines to give a receipt because Plymouth Dockyard Officers won’t give him delivery receipts. Says if anything were to happen to the tender both their accounts and his would be liable for the loss. Captain Mends wants matter referred to their Lordships.
