Folios 590-591A: Captain Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. John Chorley, Corporal of the Marines, HMS Princess requested permission Sunday 11 October from 1st Lieutenant, Mr Braddell to go shore, which he refused. He tried to leave the ship while Lieutenant Braddell was absent from deck telling the Marines Sargent on the gangway he’d permission and trying to bring with him an imprest Supernumerary for him to desert. Having read the Rules and Regulations for the Royal Marines, seeks directions about having John Chorley Court Martialed or otherways.
