Folios 578-579: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Reply to letter 25 September with enclosed American certificate from Mr Lyman requesting William Hunter’s discharge. Reports he was impressed by the Gang at Liverpool as Lieutenant Keys informs him for ‘giving a vague and contradictory account of the place where he was born’, saying he was an Irishman and of obtaining the certificate fraudulently. [Certificate no longer present].
