Folios 520-521: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Replies to letter of 14th August enclosing William Roberts, Rigger’s discharge on provision of two substitutes. Says he was impressed while he was working on the Robert Beans American ship. His Admiralty protection was five days out of date, issued relating to the other impressed men mentioned in their letter. He has sent it to Captain Mends for his report.
Folios 522-533: enclosed in folios 520-521. Letter dated 12 August 1807 by William Roberts, Rigger, Standish Street, Latham’s Court, Liverpool. Seeks his discharge on him providing two able bodied landsmen as substitutes. Says he has a wife, three small children and is not in good health.
