Folios 514-515: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Captain Mends the Regulating Officer at Liverpool has sent him an extract of a letter from Thomas Murrow enclosed in a letter of 30th July requesting Thomas Gorst and Thomas Richardson’s discharge, stating “they were in a state of intoxication at the time”. Reports they were both voluntarily entered 23 June declaring “they were sober and solid” and did so of their own free will. They are stout able healthy young men about 21 years old.
