Description

Folios 508-509: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Returning application from J. Houghton with indentures for the two boys, Richard Wrench and John Johnson saying they entered the Liverpool Rendezvous and acknowledge they’ve run away from their Masters.

Folios 510-511: enclosed in folios 508-509. John Houghton, William Houghton Alley, Liverpool, 14 July 1807. Sends the indentures and affidavits for Joseph Oldham, Shoemaker, Northwich’s apprentice Richard Wrench and William Goodhall, Shoemaker, Northwich’s apprentice John Johnson, requesting their discharge.

Folio 512: enclosed in folios 508-509. Certificate and affidavit of Joseph Oldham, Shoemaker, Northwich saying Richard Wrench now on board HMS Princess his apprentice has three years on his apprenticeship absented himself 24 June and entered the Navy without his consent. Before James Tomkinson, Northwich, 10 July 1807.

Folio 513: enclosed in folios 508-509. Certificate and affidavit of John Johnson, Shoemaker, Castle Northwich saying William Goodall now on board HMS Princess was apprenticed, 19 March 1803 having six years on his apprenticeship absented himself 24 June and entered the Navy without his consent. Before James Tomkinson, Northwich, 10 July 1807.
