Folios 504-505: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Receiving the enclosed from the Bishop of Llandaff says that finding the case exactly as stated is forwarding it to their Lordships requesting a decision.
Folios 506-507: enclosed in folios 502-503. Letter dated 14 July 1807 by the Bishop of Llandaff, [Bishop Richard Watson], Calgarth Park, Shendale, to Captain Colquitt. Writes for the father of Thomas Davis who was impressed and is now on board your frigate. Is a respectable friend of his who informs him he’s never been to see but left his house with a view of bettering himself before Candlemass last and was doing well at Liverpool. Says he does not wish to obstruct the Naval Service but cannot approve of impressing Landsmen except in cases of extreme necessity. Requests his discharge.
