Folios 146-147: Edward Sneyd Clay, Regulating Officer, Belfast. Messer’s Narcissus and Robert Batt, Merchants, Belfast have produced his Majesties License dated 27 May, enforceable for six months protection for the Danish galleon Proven to whom she was consigned but who is now under detention who say that she should be released under the order of Council, 4th November. Seeks directions. Asks as it is probable she may be released can he be excused sending her crew currently on board the Maria tender to Plymouth with the other Danes held there. Reports this License either by neglect or omission is retained by Messer’s Batt’s correspondents in London. The vessels papers he forwarded to the King’s Proctor.
