Folios 315-316: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. James Hudson was pressed by Lieutenant Dathan from the Providence of Newcastle, Robert Fairclough, Master. He was pressed despite being the Mate as there was evidence that he had previously been using false papers.
Folios 317-318: enclosed with folios 315-316. Letter dated 27 March 1807 by J Taylor, Agent, Sunderland. He writes asking for the discharge of James Hudson, Mate, the Providence of Newcastle. He encloses an affidavit and Indenture paper.
Folio 319: enclosed with folios 315-316. Robert Fairclough, Master, the Providence of Newcastle. A sworn affidavit dated 27 March 1807 that James Hudson was Mate aboard the ship.
