Folios 268-269: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Mr Grills, Swedish Consul General has applied for the release of Peter Johnson who was impressed at Newcastle by Lieutenant France. Thomas Wilson has written asking for Johnson to be discharged and claims to be the Swedish Pro Vice Consul, but he is unknown to Captain Charleton who believes Johnson to be a british subject.
