Folios 207-208: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Robert Robertson has applied for the discharge of Andrew Smith who was pressed at Sunderland by Lieutenant Consite from the Mary Ann. He is above 18 years old and has admitted to one voyage to Greenland. He does believe the affidavit supplied by Robert Robertson in which he claims that Andrew Smith had not made any voyages before being pressed. He says that Andrew Smith comes from the Shetlands and it is well known that all Shetlandersw go to sea.
Folios 209-210: enclosed with folios 207-208. Letter dated 27 December 1806 by Robert Robertson, Master Mariner, Whitby. He supplied an affidavit to confirm that Andrew Smith was indentured to him when he was pressed. He asks for his discharge.
