Description

Folios 163-164: R Cathcart, HMS Sea Gull, Mounts Bay. He reports that on the previous day the Northumberland Transport ran aground on the Rundlestone in heavy seas and in a strong wind. She was carrying part of the King's German Legion, 9 Officers, 262 NCOs and Privates and 36 women and children. It was not possible to save the ship, but all personnel were rescued.
