Folio 412: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Receipt of a letter enclosing an application from Owen Parry for the discharge of William Williams on production of a substitute. States that appears on the books as an Ordinary Seaman although he denies ever having been at sea. He belongs to the Bangor Volunteers and is a healthy looking youth of 20 years.
Folios 413-414: enclosure with folio 412. Letter dated 26 April 1806 from Owen Parry, 9 Georges Street, Liverpool, to William Marsden, Admiralty Office, London. William Williams of Bangor, Wales, is a labourer aged 20, and was impressed on 18 March [1806] and sent on board HMS Princess. he has never been to sea. He is a volunteer in the Bangor Volunteers, in Captain Roberts's Company, with whose permission he came to Liverpool to get work, with the assurance that he would join his Corps when called upon. He has lived with him since August [1805] and worked as a labourer. Gives him a good character. Offers to provide a substitute landsman of equal abilities.
