Folio 317: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. replies to a letter enclosing an application from Robert Munnis for his discharge. States that he is a healthy young Englishman of 18 years, has served many years at sea chiefly in the American service with some time on board the United States frigate Constellation and was taken going out in an American merchant ship.
Folios 318-319: enclosure with folio 317. Letter dated 2 February 1805 from Robert Munnis to William Marsden, Admiralty Office, London. Asks for his discharge on production of 2 substitutes. He has been at sea 2 years in the foreign trade. He has a widowed mother with small children to support.
