Folios 237-238: enclosure with folios 235-236. Letter dated 26 April 1806 from George Ralph Collard, HMS Minerva off Cape Finistere, to Eliab Harvey, Rear Admiral of the Blue. He was in Finistere Bay preparing to cut off some small craft laying under the town with the gun brig HMS Conflict, under Lieutenant J B Batt. A French privateer lugger rounded the Cape and after a chase of 60 miles was boarded by Lieutenant Batt. She proved to be a 14-gun, 52 man lugger called the Finistere, commanded by Michelle Durre. She left Corunna that morning and had made no captures, and was intending to cruise off Oporto for British convoys. He commends Lieutenant Batt's conduct.
