Folios 305-306: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Reply to letter dated 19 March 1806 in the case of Carl Hamilton on HMS Lyre whose discharge which has been requested by [Claes] Grill the Swedish Consul. George Hamilton who he supposes the man in question was impressed by Lieutenant Mitchell at North Shields on 20 February 1806. He had recently sailed in the ship Montego Bay of the Port of London as Mate and was discharged form misconduct. He stated himself to be a Swede but had no certificate and does not appear to be Swedish.
