Folios 278-279: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Reply to letter dated 20 February 1806 in the case of John Dawson. He was impressed on 26 December 1806 and not on 11 as stated in Mr Noel's letter, neither was his protection within date. He was detained for the service as being known to have been at sea four years as Carpenter.
Folios 281-281: enclosures with folios 278-279. Letter dated 18 February 1806 by L Noel to the Admiralty.John Dawson, Shipwright, was impressed on 11 December 1805 at Shields and sent to HMS Zealand at the Nore. Request for his discharge.
