Folios 249-250: William Charleton, Regulating Captain. North Shields. Reply to letter dated 14 January. In the case of Robert Burnop whose discharge has been applied for by Mr Ferguson in the enclosed letter. He states that no man named Robert Burnop has passed through this Rendezvous but this is the second time application has been made on his behalf. In the first application Robert Burnop was stated as a native of South Shields and a Waterman belonging to that place. He understands he was impressed somewhere in the River Thames being then employed in a Collier.
Folios 251-252: enclosure with folios 249-250. Letter dated 7 January 1806 by Thomas Ferguson, No 3 George Yard, Lombard Street, to John Barrow. On the 5 November 1805 he sent some documents proving Robert Burnop of South Shields to be Master and Owner of a Ferry Boat and that he has been impressed and now is on HMS L'Africaine. Further represents that Robert Burnop is no longer on HMS L'Africaine but is now on HMS Africa
