Folios 233-234: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, South Shields. Reply to letter dated 13 October 1806 in the Case of Mark Jaught. He was impressed at South Shields on 20 November 1806 by Lieutenant [James] Dathan from the ship Johnson, R Huberfield Master, belonging to Rye. Having 4 years at sea and the appearance of being above 18 with no Certificate of Baptism. He is now on the Lyre Tender at this port ready to be sent to the Nore as soon as the sea permits.
Folios 235-236: enclosure with folios 233-234. Letter dated 11 October 1806 by Thomas Furguson, No 3 George Yard, Lombard Street. Covering letter for the enclosed copy of the Register of Baptism of Mark Jaught a youth under 18 who was on 20 November 1806 impressed at Shields and Regulated by Captain Charleton and then sent to the Nore. Request he be discharged.
Folio 237: enclosure with folios 233-234. Certificate of baptism on 5 July 1789 for Mark son of Edward and Elizabeth Jaught at All Saints in Hastings by Webster Whistler - Rector and Richard Edwards - Church Warden.
